Terms of use of "my office" of the website Morela are established according to the Patient Rights Act - ZPacP, Consumer Protection Act - ZVPot, Personal Data Protection Act - ZVOP-1 and Electronic Commerce Market Act - ZEPT.
A component of terms of use of "my office" are general terms of use of Morela website.

1. Service content of »my office«

On the website Morela accessible on www.morelaokulisti.si/en in www.morela.si/en, are to registered users available e-services named "my office". On the website, registered users can book appointments for examinations and surgical procedures, access their medical docu-mentation regarding medical services performed at Morela ophthalmologists, and pay for booked medical services with payment systems Bankart and PayPal. Registered users of the website have the possibility also to post their opinion and rating of the quality and satisfaction with performed services. Registration gives the opportunity to interested users to participate in quarterly prize game, where a patient is chosen for free laser refractive error correction at Mo-rela ophthalmologists. Terms of participation and rules how patients are chosen for free laser refractive error correction, are posted separately, and the user is acquainted with them and accepts them when he/she applies for free refractive error correction. The registration process of the user of the service "my office" is described in details in general terms of use of the web-site.
The service "my office" is an user interface between the user of medical services, interested in services offered by the company Morela ophthalmologists, and the company Morela ophthal-mologists. The main purpose of this user interface is to simplify and ease making appointments for medical services, an easier access to information about patient's treatment, improvement of transparency of administrative procedures connected with treatment, and an easier access to personal medical records.

2. Types of services and locations

The company Morela ophthalmologists performs specialistic medical services in the field of ophthalmology and eye surgery with emphasis on permanent refractive error correction sur-gery, and cataract surgery.

Outpatient medical services are performed on the following locations:

  • Morela Optics, Dalmatinova 2, 1000 Ljubljana
  • Bled Health Centre, Mladinska cesta 1, 4260 Bled

On the location Center for Eye Refractive Surgery, Tehnološki park 21, 1000 Ljubljana the following services are performed:

3. Booking an appointment

Patients can book an appointment for medical services performed by the company Morela ophthalmologists on the telephone number 00386 1 510 2340 during working hours on the location Tehnološki park 21, Ljubljana, by e-mail on info@morelaokulisti.si or by filling out the form for booking an appoitntment available in "my office" on Morela website.

Without prior examination in the office Morela ophthalmologists it is possible to book an ap-pointment for the following services:

  • Eye Specialist Examination
  • Eye exams for glasses and contact lenses prescription
  • Free informative consultation about the possibility for refractive error correction
  • Detailed examination before refractive error correction surgery
  • Examination for cataract surgery
  • Examination for cosmetic eye surgery
  • Examination for keratoconus treatment

A patient who already underwent an eye specialist examination in the company Morela oph-thalmologists can, according to examination findings and an agreement with the doctor after the examination, make an appointment for the chosen surgical treatment. In this case, besides all listed ambulatory examinations, it is possible for the patient to register after logging in "my office" for the previously chosen surgical treatment. All patient who were treated at Morela ophthalmologists can always book an appointment for a follow-up visit. The company reserves itself the right to charge to the patient again the first eye specialist examination if doctor's findings confirm a condition not connected with previous treatments or in case of the follow-up visit after more then one year after the first examination.

4. The extent of medical services and prices

The description of every individual service with main contents can be found on Morela web-site.

All prices are in EUR. VAT is not charged according to the Article 42, paragraph 1, item 2 of the Value Added Tax Act - ZDDV-1 (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, no. 13/11 and the next). After medical service the patient receives a structured bill for medical services provided to the patient. On patient's request, the caregiver is obliged to explain the bill to the patient.

When making appointment for a detailed examination before laser refractive error correction surgery and for laser refractive error ccorrection surgery, the patient can choose between two ranges of services. Full service enables a full flexibility regarding the dates, doctors, and all procedures required for a successful surgery without surcharges. Basic service ensures a de-tailed examination and surgery of the same quality for the lowest possible price. If the patient decides for the basic service, the user has limited possibilities regarding the choice of the doc-tor and date of examination or surgery. The date of the service is determined by the system automatically regarding the availability of free dates. The user can decide for the change of the suggested date or doctor. In this case surcharge or agreement with posting his/her activity related to refractive error correction on his/her personal profile on the social network Facebook or Twitter is necessary. When choosing the basic service, in case of the decision for wavefront individualized refractive error correction and/or LASIK technique, surcharges are imposed, which is posted on the price list on the link:

If the patient who has an appointment for a pre-surgery examination or surgical treatment in terms of basic service does not attend to the examination or surgery on the set date, a new date for the service is set and the change of the date is charged according to the posted price list. The patient who has an appointment for an examination or surgical treatment in terms of full service, a new date is set without surcharges.
Choosing the basic service demands prepayment of the service which is performed via web-site. Prepayment can be made with the credit card with the payment system Bankart, PayPal account or bank transfer.

5. Acquaintance with the processes of treatment and obtainance of the patient consent for surgical treatment

According to the Patient Rights Act, every patient is acquainted by the doctor in case of sur-gery suggestion with the following:

  • With his/her medical condition and possible development and consequences of the illness or injury,
  • goal, type, methods of implementation, possibility of success and expected benefits and outcome of the suggested surgery or treatment,
  • possible risks, side effects, negative consequences and other inconveniences of the sug-gested surgery or treatment, including the consequences of its omission,
  • other possibilities of treatment,
  • procedures and possibilities of treatment which in the Republic of Slovenia are not per-formable or are not covered by the compulsory health insurance.

The patient is acquainted with all the listed within the detailed examination before surgery. During the detailed examination the patient receives two copies of written consent. The pa-tient must personally deliver a signed copy of the written consent form at least on the day of surgery, before surgery is performed. Without the written consent of the patient, surgical treatment is not possible. A copy of the filled out and signed written consent form is given to the patient.

6. The right of the company Morela ophthalmologists to decline surgical treatment and subsequent withdrawal from performing surgical treatment

Every patient undergoes an eye specialist examination in one of the Morela ophthalmologists offices before arranging for surgical treatment. On the basis of the eye examination, conversa-tion with the patient and considering other patient's relevant medical documentation, the doc-tor delivers his opinion about the patient suitability for certain surgical treatment. The doctor can determine on this examination that the patient is not suitable for any of the surgical treat-ments for vision improvement, is conditionally suitable, which means that at the time of the examination not all conditions for a safe surgery performance are met, but there is a possibility that the situation changes with time, or that the patient is suitable for surgical treatment. Only patients who are evaluated as suitable for surgical treatment can, on the basis of the positive doctor's opinion, decide for and make an appointment for surgical treatment. Patients evaluat-ed as conditionally suitable can after a certain period of time again make an appointment for an examination and evaluation of suitability for surgical treatment. In case of conditional suit-ability or unsuitability for surgical treatment, the company Morela ophthalmologists is not bound to refund the patient for the pre-operative examination.

The Morela ophthalmologists doctor who is going to perform the operative treatment has the right to withdraw from surgery performance any time, because of reasons from which he can conclude that they increase the risk and decrease safety and/or surgery success. In case of rea-sons connected with the current state of the patient and are transitory (convalescence of an accompanying illness, newly identified eye or other diseases, absence of demanded pre-operative examinations, pregnancy), the doctor can suggest to the patient a new date for sur-gery or informs the patient that he/she will receive a new date after the current reasons of un-suitability for surgical treatment will pass. In case of additionally found permanent reasons for unsuitability for surgical treatment, the doctor explains the reasons to the patient.

Surgical treatment is not performed also if the patient refuses to deliver the written consent for surgical treatment on the consent form prepared by the company Morela ophthalmologists.

If the patient does not deliver the consent form for surgical treatment, and consequently sur-gical treatment is not performed, the company Morela ophthalmologists reserves itself the right to retain 10-30% of the price. This amount is subtracted from the price which must be returned by the company Morela ophthalmologists in not later than 30 days of the set date of surgical treatment. The company Morela ophthalmologists returns the entire price of the surgi-cal treatment to patients who were subsequently declined for surgery treatment performance because of medical reasons.

7. Patient rights protection

Patients who think their rights were violated may submit a written or verbal compaint to the responsible person for patient complaint resolving of the company Morela ophthalmologists. In case of unsatisfactory resolution of the complaint, the patient may submit a complaint to the guardian of patient's rights.

8. Patient's responsibilities

To achieve a high quality and safe medical care in the company Morela ophthalmologists it is expected from the patient to:

  • to actively participate in protecting, strengthening, and restoring his/her own health,
  • during the period of illness act in accordance with received professional instructions and plans of treatment to which he/she consented in verbal or written form,
  • give all needed and real information about the patient's treatment which are known to the patient and are important for further medical treatment, especially information about pa-tient's current and former injuries and illnesses, their treatment, diseases within patient's family, possible allergies and medication the patient is taking to the treating physician and other competent caregivers or other associate professionals,
  • to inform caregivers and associate professionals about sudden changes in their health con-dition occurring during treatment,
  • to be paying attention and respectful towards privacy and other patients' rights, caregivers and associate professionals,
  • to respect schedules, house rules and prescribed organization procedures,
  • to inform the staff about the possible non-attendance at the examination or surgery in time.

9. Access towards personal medical documentation

Logging in for the service "my office" on Morela website enables to the user the access to-wards his/her personal medical documentation connected with medical services performed at the company Morela ophthalmologists. All listed medical documentation is kept on the server of the company Morela ophthalmologists. All data are protected according to the Article 11 regarding article 24 of Personal Data Protection Act, and are collected and archived according to the Databases Act in the area of health care. The period of medical documentation storage is statutory and is for medical data acquired within specialist ambulatory treatments 15 years.

Service "my office" enables to the patient to access trough the website Morela his/her own medical documentation stored on the server of the company Morela ophthalmologists. Techni-cally, documentation withdrawal from the website can be performed trough a safe link estab-lished especially for this reason between the server of the company Morela ophthalmologists and server of the contracting company Spletna postaja which ensures services of website host-ing. Transfer is performed by copying the requested report which is transferred from the server of the company Morela ophthalmologists on the server of the company Spletna postaja, who hosts the web application, after the view immediately deletes from the server of the company Spletna postaja. The patient can print or download the documents on the hard drive or other durable medium. The company Spletna postaja is responsible on simultaneous deleting of transferred copies of reports from the server with which manages and where hosts the website Morela ophthalmologists.

The company Morela ophthalmologists is not responsible for possible abuse of web access to medical documentation which could be a consequence of unconscientious handling of the user such as inappropriate storage of copies of downloaded documentation, careless handling with the user name and password. The company Morela ophthalmologists is not responsible for possible abuse of the web access which could be a consequence of an intended hacking into the system of web access to medical documentation from a third party.

10. Integration of the web service 2my office" with social media

Users of the service "my office" have the possibility to, via social media Facebook and Twit-ter, share their opinions, impressions and experiences with other interested visitors of the Mo-rela website and with their friends and contacts on the mentioned social media. Posting an opinion or rating of the patient satisfaction with the service requests a confirmation of sharing the content on social media.

Users who via "my office" make appointments for the examination before laser refractive error correction surgery or for laser refractive error correction surgery within basic service, can, shar-ing their activity regarding laser refractive error correction on social media Facebook in/or Twitter, gain free benefits regarding the possibility of changing the date or the doctor for the examination and laser surgery. Every user can make use of this possibility and share such post once on every previously mentioned social media. After sharing the post about his/her visit in the office or planned surgical treatment, the user must confirm that he/she agrees with such a post on his/her profile on the social media.

The company Morela ophthalmologists is not responsible for the content and data the user shares on the social media, as also not for the possible abuse from a third party or their revela-tion to unwanted persons and for all unpredicted effects or reactions which are a consequence of posting and sharing these contents. The company Morela ophthalmologists is not responsi-ble for privacy protection settings individual users have on their user accounts on the social media, and with the possibility of abuse.

11. Payment methods

We offer a range of different combinations of payment methods for different services. The easiest and fastest way to verify what does this mean is to choose the service and carefully follow the instructions. In three steps before confirmation we offer, among all possibilities, just those payment methods which are available for chosen items:

  • payment in cash after performed service on the location,
  • payment with credit card after performed service on the location,
  • payment with previous bank transfer,
  • payment by installments with credit or debit card on the location,
  • remote payment by installments with credit or debit card,
  • cross-border payment with bank transfer.

Slovenia Post, banks and mobile operators charge commission to users for each payment ac-cording to their price list. These costs are not included in the prices of services of the company Morela ophthalmologists. You can choose between the payment methods in the ordering pro-cess in accordance with the chosen services.

Selling prices include the highest possible online discounts and are valid for registered users of Morela ophthalmologists ltd. Selling prices in other forms of ordering may be higher.

Payment in cash after performed service on the location
Order of the service is performed on the website, and payment is made in cash after the ser-vice on location.

Payment with previous bank transfer
Payment for ordered goods can be performed with a bank transfer on the bank account of the company Morela okulisti, d.o.o., Tehnološki park 21, 1000 Ljubljana no. SI 1010 0004 4831 552 at the bank of Banka Koper d.d. Payment is made on the basis of an estimate you receive after the order. During the payment process you must write the exact reference number to en-able the automatic transfer of the information about the payment in our information system.

Payment with credit or debt card on the location

The ordered goods can safely be paid with the credit or debt (MasterCard, American Express, Diners, Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro) after performed service on the location. The payer must be the same person or organization who owns the credit card. In cases where the owner of the card is not a citizen of Slovenia or uses a credit card which was not issued in Slovenia, and in cases where the recipient and payer are not the same person, we reserve ourself the right to additional identity verification of the payer and to receive a written statement by e-mail or fax that the payer agrees with the payment of the service.

Payment by installments with credit or debit card on the location
VISA Electron
Abanka customers can make an installment payment from 2 – 12 months with the credit card Visa Electron. All conditions of installment payment with the credit card Visa Electron are part of the agreement between the bank Abanka and the user od the card. Additional docu-mentation is not required.
DINERS
Slovenian users of Diners cards can make an installment payment from 3 – 6 months when sending the order. Credit period length must be selected.
American Express
Slovenian users of American Express cards can make an installment payment from 3 – 12 months when sending the order. Credit period length must be selected.

Remote payment with credit or debit card

The ordered goods can safely be paid with the credit or debt (MasterCard, American Express, Diners, Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro) when sending the order online. The payer must be the same person or organization who owns the credit card. In cases where the owner of the card is not a citizen of Slovenia or uses a credit card which was not issued in Slovenia, and in cases where the recipient and payer are not the same person, we reserve ourself the right to addi-tional identity verification of the payer and to receive a written statement by e-mail or fax that the payer agrees with the payment of the ordered goods. Purchase with Maestro card can be performed only if your bank allows online purchases.
The service MasterCard SecureCode is available to all MasterCard and Maestro card owners in all banks with Activa system.

Remote payment by installments with credit or debit card
VISA Electron
Abanka customers can make an installment payment from 2 – 12 months with the credit card Visa Electron. All conditions of installment payment with the credit card Visa Electron are part of the agreement between the bank Abanka and the user od the card. Additional docu-mentation is not required.
DINERS
Slovenian users of Diners cards can make an installment payment from 3 – 6 months when sending the order. Credit period length must be selected.
American Express
Slovenian users of American Express cards can make an installment payment from 3 – 12 months when sending the order. Credit period length must be selected.

Cross-border payment with bank transfer

12. Methods and time limits for ordered services

When logging into the system, the patient chooses the date of the service in the system ac-cording to availability of the dates.

13. Possibility of cross-boarder service implementation

Services can not be implemented abroad.

14. Order cancellation before completing the service purchase

The patient can cancel the service of surgery 48 hours before the planned date by e-mail info@morelaokulisti.si.
Refunds according to types of services in case of cancellation:

  • Examinations: no refunds
  • Surgeries without implant insertion: 100% refund
  • Surgeries with implant insertion: 30% refund

Refund is issued on patient's bank account within 8 days after service cancellation.
The patient receives a notice about payment return within 12 hours after service cancellation on his/her e-mail address.

Service cancellation after performed service is not possible.
